We are delighted to say that on the 17th of July, we were invited to the Comms Council UK Awards 2026, where we were named the winner of the Best Risk Defence Solution award and highly commended for the Best AI-Powered Communications award! Not only is this a massive achievement for us, but this also solidifies our AI capabilities and our position in the market.
The Comms Council UK Awards are designed to celebrate innovation, best practice and recognise achievement within the UK’s unified communications, VoIP and advanced digital communications sector. Comms Council are a prominent trade body; the awards program highlights top-performing providers, disruptive technologies, and rising talent.
The Best Risk Defence Solution award was given to our toll fraud detection system, Sentra, for providing the best Security, Compliance & Fraud-Resilience Solutions either as a third-party supplier or developed internally to support their business and customers. Sentra was developed by Matt Clegg, Head of Platform Development and Wayne Mills-Kidals, CTO and Co-founder, whose experience in the telecoms industry has been central to bringing this level of fraud prevention to life.
We are so proud to have received this award, as it recognises solutions that protect the integrity of communication networks and the safety of their users. This includes tackling Wangiri fraud (one-ring and drop), CLI spoofing, DDoS attacks, and Know Your Customer (KYC) policies, and ensuring compliance with tightening UK regulations.
We were also highly commended for the Best AI-Powered Communications award, a recognition given to the standout runner-up in the category. We aren’t just labelling ourselves as an AI communication services provider because we feel like it; this recognises that we successfully integrated artificial intelligence across our communication services, including Debi, our automated number porting assistant and Sentra.
With our new AI agent developments on the horizon, this recognition from a well-established and respected body like Comms Council UK comes at a fitting moment. This recognition reflects the hard work of the infrastructure team at Fuse 2, and we’re incredibly proud and excited to see where this leads!
Thank you to Comms Council UK for organising an event that celebrates innovation across our industry, and to the judges for recognising the work behind Sentra and our other wider AI ambitions. Massive congratulations to the other winners and finalists on the night!
