ITSPA REBRANDS AS COMMS COUNCIL UK – FUSE2 ARE MEMBERS

ITSPA, the trade association of the Internet Telephony Service Providers in the UK that includes Fuse2 amongst its membership has rebranded as Comms Council UK.

Founded 17 years ago by a small cohort of 12 founding early VoIP pioneers ¹ in the UK telecoms market ITSPA has grown to a vibrant organisation with over 100 members including Fuse2. Whereas in 2004 an ITSP was firmly a provider of voice services this is no longer the case with many if not most ITSPs offering Unified Communications services with a suite of multimedia products that include video, messaging, chat and collaboration..

The change in branding is highly relevant for today’s communications market as a new rich blend of services such as Microsoft Teams Collaboration are rolled out en masse.

For Fuse2 the rebrand to Comms Council UK is highly relevant. As one of the UK’s first service providers to support Microsoft Teams Direct Routing our resellers and their enterprise end user customers are moving away from old fashioned traditional voice services to making use of technologies more fit for purpose in the modern age.

Our fully automated service proposition really gives us a competitive edge in this space especially when it comes to the provision of international services and inbound numbers. Companies with overseas offices are naturally drawn to Fuse 2 for their telecoms.

Membership of ITSPA has been important for Fuse2 over the past few years as it has given us the opportunity to network directly with the industry in the UK and to gain early insights into changes happening in the telecoms industry as a whole.

We have also benefited from winning awards in the annual and most prestigious ITSPA Awards including Best Small ITSP in 2019. Of this we are proud as it is a fiercely contested award.

Coincidentally the 2021 Awards, now also rebranded as the 2021 Comms Council UK Awards have gone live and we will be entering. Look out for future announcements as we hope to win more silverware. Wish us luck!
